Correctional Health Education Programs

This article outlines the steps necessary to develop a health education program and discusses each component of the program in detail. Information for planners and administrators about selecting a theoretical model, performing needs assessments, developing strategic plans, choosing adequate health care delivery methods, enhancing public relations with the community, and evaluating health education endeavors is presented.
